memorial garden sketch

Failed and scanned it upside down. Also, I got bored and drew all the extra mess on it haha. It was originally just one of the trees in the garden.

KONY 2012 Promo Pack

Stickers
Poster
Flyer

For this project we were to create a promotional package for the Kony 2012 campaign using Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop. To create my products I used the color scheme of many already distributed Kony 2012 posters and flyers, which just so happened to do well at creating contrast with these colors. To create most of the objects in my products I took simple shapes and manipulated them. I feel as though I could have done better, but my final products represent my sketches well.

character design

day 3
day 1 - sketch
day 2

Day 4
Final Product

This project was actually my favorite of all year, and for it we were to create a character in adobe illustrator CS3 using skills learned and used throughout the year. The idea of my character was a zombie version of myself, so I took aspects of myself and how i dress and used skills I've learned to turn basic shapes into a character. Many of the shapes I used and manipulated here are simple circles or ovals. I like dark colors, so I tried to create some emphasis on his clothing using combinations of black, grey, and red. Not only does the final product represent my sketch, but it is much better to me.

doodle 4 google

Day 1 - sketch
Day 2

Day 4

Final Product

In this project we were to create a theme for the Google homepage using adobe Illustrator Cs3. The theme was a place in time we would want to visit, so for my project i chose the industrial revolution. As a class we were to use anything and everything we know from previous projects, excluding how to use the 3D tools. I used various objects i associate with the industrial revolution to create "Google". A crane with a wrecking ball forming the G and first O, a wheel forming the second O, gears and a cog for the g, an exhaust tower for the L, and an old clock for the e. Because most of the objects are grey, I decided to create contrast by making a blueprint background. I used many basic shapes, such as circles and squares, to create my objects. In my personal opinion, the final product came out better than the sketch.
